The KOYLI was in the forefront of the many campaigns fought by the British Army, from its formation to the last parade in Berlin in 1968. Though Britain was nominally at peace during the period covered by this history, the KOYLI saw action in Malaya, Borneo, Kenya, Cyprus and Aden. As the roll of honour clearly shows, these campaigns were not without loss for the Regiment. Yield to None gives a clear, accurate and eminently readable account of the history of this magnificent Regiment and the men who served in it. A 'must have' for both the military history buff and the many men whose memory of the events described is part of their own personal history. Yield to None is well illustrated with campaign maps and over 50 illustrations, some previously unseen. Malcolm K. Johnson is a retired schoolmaster, who lives in Sprotborough, near Doncaster. He is an active member of the Western Front Association and has a life long interest in military history.
